Garlic Bread from Italian Bread Loaf

I just spotted a freshly baked Italian loaf in the local grocery shop and immediately popped it into my cart. I had this sudden craving for Garlic Bread and thought would make it for dinner tonight along with some fresh soup.

Serves - 2 - 3
Ingredients Required:
Italian Bread Loaf - 1
Dried Basil - 1 tsp
Oregano/Italian Seasoning - 1 tsp
Garlic Powder - 2 tsp
Green Chilli - 2, finely chopped
Red Chilli Flakes - as needed
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese - 1/2 cup
Butter - 2 tblspn
Olive Oil

How to make?
Slice the Italian loaf into medium thin slices diagonally.
In a small bowl, add in the butter and bring to room temperature. Add in the garlic powder, basil, Oregano and mix well.
Preheat the oven to 350 C.
Arrange the slices on a baking sheet. Drizzle some olive oil on the slices.
Spread the garlic butter spread on each of the slices.
Top it up with the shredded cheese and few chilli pieces.
If you are a big fan of spice, more basil, oregano and Red chilli flakes can be topped on the bread.
Bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
Serve warm with a marinara dip and hot soup!

Notes:
The cheese is optional and can be skipped.
Adding the level and amount of spices is totally up to your taste buds and can be adjusted accordingly.
