Makes 8 - 10
Ingredients Required:
Moong Dhal - 1 cup
Potato - 1, boiled, peeled and mashed
Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
Garlic - 5 flakes
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Capsicum - 1/2 cup (multi colored, chopped)
Onion - 1/2, chopped
Oil to spray
How to make?
If you are going to use wooden skewers, soak them for 2 hours.
Soak the dhal for 2 hours. Grind it together with ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, into a thick paste.
Heat some oil in a non stick pan, add the ground paste and cook on low heat for 10 - 15 minutes, till the dhal is cooked and the excess water is absorbed.
Add the mashed potato, all the masala powder, salt and mix well.
Take a ball of the dough, press it along the skewer length wise and gently press on all the sides.
Take few pieces of capsicum and onion and stick it on the sides of the dough.
Do this for all the kebabs, line it up on a foil traced tray. Spray oil on the kebabs.
Bake in a preheated oven at 400 F for 15 - 20 minutes or till the kebabs start to turn golden brown in color.
Turn the kebabs in between so it gets baked evenly.
Serve hot with chutney of your choice!
