Panner Tikka from the Oven | Gluten Free

We both are fans of paneer (aren't we all? :) and love this dish. I wanted to try this out at home for a long time and finally did it. It came out great and tasted great as it was. It would also make a great accompaniment with Indian breads or Rice. And the best thing is that it is so simple to make with just some pre-preparations. It would make a lovely dish for Pot Lucks and can be served as an appetizer or dry sides.

Serves - 2 - 4 (Makes 4 skewers full)
Ingredients Required:
Paneer - 16 - 1 inch cubes (How to make Paneer?)

Capsicum - 1 cup ( all three colors), cut in 1 inch pieces
Onion - 1, cut in 1 inch pieces
Tomato - 1, cut in 1 inch pieces

For Marination:

Curd - 1/4 cup
Red Chilli Powder -1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chat Masala - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Lemon Juice - 2 tsp
Salt - as needed
Oil - 2 tsp

Skewers - 4
Oil Spray

How to make?
Mix all the ingredients under the 'For Marination' and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add the paneer cubes, capsicum, onion, tomato and pour the marination paste over it.
Gently toss, everything is coated well. Its better to use hand, just to make sure everything is coated on all the sides.
Close the bowl, and refrigerate for 4 - 6 hours so the flavors blend in.
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water or wrap them in a soaked towel for one hour.
Preheat the oven to 450 F.
Grease the skewers with oil and insert the skewers into the paneer and vegetables as needed.
Do this for all and spray with oil on all four sides.
Arrange this on a baking tray and bake for 15 - 20 minutes, until the sides are brown.
Sprinkle some chat masala on top and serve hot!

Sorry for the way too many clicks, it just looked so beautiful that I couldn't put my camera down :)
