Poha | Aval Chivda | Vegan | Gluten Free

A quick and guilt free snack. Usually the thin variety of Poha is used for this recipe, but I had only the thick variety at home. So just tried it with that and couldn't find any difference. These were just as crispy and crunchy as the other one!

Ingredients Required:
Poha - 2 cups
Peanuts - 1/4 cup
Dalia/Roasted Channa Dhal - 1/4 Cup
Green Chilli - 4
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Oil - 2 tblspn
Salt - as required
Sugar - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp

How to make?
Heat the oil in a non stick pan, add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow to splutter.
Add the chopped green chilli, curry leaves and fry for few seconds.
Add the peanuts and dalia. Fry till crisp.
Add the turmeric powder and then add the poha. Mix well so the poha turns yellow in color and the oil is coated everywhere. Add the salt.
Toast on low heat for 30 minutes till the poha is crisp.
Remove from heat. Sprinkle sugar and toss well.
Cool and store in air tight container.
