This a very simple and delicious recipe. When ever we are back from couple of days travel, I always come home and make this in few minutes along with a simple potato fry. It is simple heavenly :)
Serves 2Ingredients Required:
Tamrind - lemon sized
Tomato - 1, chopped
Cilantro - few springs
Rasam Powder - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Hing - Pinch
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli - 3
How to make?
Microwave the tamrind with 2 cups of water for 2 minutes and set aside.
In a vessel, add the tamrind water, tomato, salt, rasam powder and bring to boil.
In a small pan, heat little oil and add mustard seeds and allow to splutter and add the red chillies and hing.
Add this seasoning to the rasam.
Garnish the rasam with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice.
