This is my son's favorite weekend breakfast, and now a days he just makes it himself, it is that simple!
Just throw in the ingredients and whisk it up, cook and eat. How simple can it get? Start to finish 10 minutes tops and you would be eating some hot delicious pancakes for breakfast. This is just a basic recipe, and you can customize it to your liking.
Makes 8
Ingredients Required:
Whole wheat flour - 1/2 cup
All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1 tsp
Cinnamon Powder - 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder - 2 tsp
Milk - 1 cup (dairy or almond)
Oil - 1 tblsp
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Butter - 2 tblsp
How to make?
Take a mixing bowl and mix all the ingredients together. Whisk for couple of minutes till well combined.
Heat a pan, add a tsp of butter to season the pan. When hot, pour a ladle full of batter.
Cook on medium heat. Cook till you see bubbles on the top. And the flip over. Cook for another minute.
Serve hot with butter, honey or maple syrup with some side of fruits!
Notes:
You can use dairy or non-dairy milk. I usually use almond milk.
The batter should be in a pour-able consistency. If thick, add a little water.
You can also add in some chocolate chips for chocolate lovers!
