Chilli Parotta is a classic South Indian road side dish. It is usually made with left over Parotta tossed in vegetables and spices. Best taste when served with onion raita.
Ingredients Required:
Parotta - 4, roughly chopped into 1 inch squares
Onion - 1, cubed
Green pepper - 1 cubed
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tblsp
Green chilli - 3 split lengthwise
Tomato ketchup - 2 tblsp
Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Garam Masala - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Cilantro to garnish
Lemon juice - 2 tsp
Oil - 2 tblsp
How to make?
- Heat a pan and add oil, when hot add the ginger garlic paste and onion and saute till cooked
- Add the green pepper and saute for 2 minutes
- Add the chilli powder, garam masala and saute
- Add the tomato ketchup and allow to cook for 2 minutes
- Add 2 tblsp of water and when in comes to boil add the Parotta pieces.
- Mix well and close the pan, allow the flavors to blend in nicely
- Give a final toss before serving
- Serve hot and garnish with chopped cilantro with a drizzle of lemon juice on top
- Serve with onion raita on the side
