Chocolate Kozhukattai No Cook - Chocolate Modakam - Modak

This is a modern twist to the traditional Kozhukattai recipe. Very simple to make and it is a no cook recipe. This was done by my 7 year old son. Great way to engage the kids in the kitchen. We have used molds to make this shape, but in case you do not have the molds, no worries, you can roll into a ball and flatten them out like pedas.

Makes 20
Ingredients Required:
Cookie/Biscuits powder - 1 cup
Cocoa Powder - 1/4 cup
Chocolate Syrup - 2 tblsp (see notes)
Condensed Milk - 5 tblsp
Cardamon Powder - 1 tsp

How to make:
  • Make a powder of the cookies or biscuit in a blender. Need 1 cup.
  • In a mixing bowl, add the cookie powder. Add in the cocoa powder, condensed milk, chocolate syrup and cardamon powder.
  • Start making a dough with your hands
  • Take lemon size balls and start filling the molds. Press tightly so no cracks are formed.
  • Remove them from the molds and set aside.
  • They will harden in few minutes.
Notes:
  • You can use any type of sweet biscuit crumble to make this recipe. We have used milk bikies.
  • If you do not have chocolate syrup, you can melt chocolate and add that
  • If the dough becomes hard, add in a few tblsp of milk to make it pliable.
