Instant Mango Pickle | Mangai Uppu Pisiri

 I remember the summer days back in India where this used to be a regular side dish to curd rice when the mangos are in season. This is a very quick and easy recipe and when you are craving for a quick mango pickle.

Stores well in the refrigerator for a couple of days.


Ingredients Required:

Raw Mango - 1 cup, finely chopped 

Salt - 1 tblsp

Chilli Powder - 1 tblsp

Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp

Sesame Oil - 2 tblsp

Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp

Hing - 1 tsp

Curry Leaves - few

How to make?

  • Take the finely chopped mango pieces in a bowl
  • Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • In a small pan, heat the oil and when hot add the mustard seeds. When the seeds splutter add the hing and curry leaves
  • Pour this on top of the mango and mix well
