Mango Squash | Mango Juice Concentrate

 Summer is here and we are all looking for various ways to cool ourselves down. I recently got a crate of delicious ripe mangoes and attempted to make this. This juice conservative stores well in the refrigerator.


Ingredients Required:
Mango Puree from fresh ripe mangoes - 2 cups
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Lemon Juice - 1 tblsp

How to make?
  • Peel and blend the mango pulp to a puree. Set aside.
  • In a pan, heat the sugar and water. Allow to boil till it reaches 1 string consistency.
  • Add in the mango puree and bring to a boil
  • Add the lemon juice and switch off the flame
  • Allow to cool and store in air tight container in the refrigerator
  • Serve with 1:3 ratio with water and ice
Notes:
  • Use fresh mangoes for the puree and not the canned ones as they already contain extra sugar
  • You can add the sugar depending on your taste and the sweetness of the mangoes
  • Best taste when served chill with 3 parts water
