Aval Ladoo - Poha Ladoo

I made this on Krishna Jayanthi. As we all know Krishna's favorite is aval. So instead of keeping the plain aval as prasadam tried to make Ladoo out of it and came out very well. I have used white Poha and sugar to make this recipe. You can make it with red Poha as well.

Makes 12
Ingredients Required:
Aval - 1 cup, heaped
Roasted gram dhal - 1/4 cup
Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
Cardamon - 1 tsp
Nut powder - 2 tblsp - optional ( I used almond flour)
Ghee - 1/4 cup

How to make:
Dry roast the Poha till it becomes light red in color.
Cool and grind to a fine powder.
Grind the roasted gram dhal to a fine powder and add to aval powder.
Mix well along with the nut powder, sugar, and cardamon powder.
Add ghee and crumble the mixture well.
Roll out into small size balls for the ladoos.
Serve.

Notes:
You can use any nut powder or make it by grinding the nuts to a fine powder. Alternatively you can roast small pieces of nuts in ghee and add them as pieces while making the Ladoo. Else skip this step altogether.
If the mixture is too dry and you are not able to make ladoos, add some more ghee.
