Chai Masala Powder

We both are tea people and always start the day with a cup of hot spiced tea. Tea can be had plain but adding the masala just kicks it up to another level. Making the tea masala before hand makes the job easier to prep up some delicious masala tea whenever you want.
This also makes a great gift for friends who are tea lovers. I have gifted them to many in this cute spice jars and it was a hit!
Just add a tsp of this powder to make two cups tea.

Makes 1/2 cup
Ingredients Required:
Dry ginger pieces - 1/2 cup or 3 tblsp of dry ginger powder
Nutmeg - 1
Saffron - pinch
Cinnamon - 7-8 sticks
Cloves - 2 tblsp
Tulsi seeds - 2 tblsp (optional)

How to make?
Grind the dry ginger to a fine powder.
Add the nutmeg and grind to a fine powder.
Add all other spices and grind to a fine powder.
Store in airtight container.
Add 1 tsp for every 2 cups of tea you make

Notes :
Dry ginger is hard to grind, make sure you have a good grinder. I used my nutribullet.
If you can grind ginger, then grinding nutmeg should be easy.
Instead of dry ginger you can use ginger powder
Adding Tulsi seeds is optional. You can also add dried Tulsi leaves.
