Chocolate Peda

This is a very simple Peda recipe made with milk powder and cocoa powder. Quick to make and kids favorite!
Makes 10 -12
Ingredients Required:
Milk Powder - 1 cup
Milk - 1/4 cup
Cocoa powder - 1/4 cup
Powdered Sugar - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 4 tblsp
To garnish - chopped nuts

How to make?
In a heavy bottom pan, add a tblsp of ghee and coat the pan.
Add milk and bring to a boil.
Add milk powder and cocoa powder and continuously keep stirring for 5-8 minutes till the mixture comes together without sticking to the pan.
Add the remaining ghee and remove to a greased plate.
Let it cool down to room temperature.
Add the powdered sugar and knead well.
Grease your hands, take small balls and roll into a smooth ball and then flatten gently to a Peda shape.
Press the nuts on top to garnish.
Keep in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to harden.

Notes:
The sugar qty was just right for us, if you have a sweet tooth please add accordingly.
Do not add the sugar when the mixture is still hot as the sugar would melt and loosen the mixture. Wait till it comes to room temperature and then knead the sugar in.
If the dough is not stiff enough to knead pop it in the fridge for 10 minutes and then knead into Peda shape.
