Moong Dhal Murukku

I got a surprise packet from my MIL full of goodies! This murukku was one of among the other delicious snacks. Immediately called her and got the recipe to share in my space.
It is crunchy and makes a great tea time snack.

Ingredients Required:
Rice flour - 4 cups
Moong Flour - 3/4 cup
Besan - 1/4 cup
Salt - as required
Butter - 2 tblsp at room temperature

How to make:
Heat a pan and fry the flours one by one for a few minutes till you get a nice aroma.
Add this to a large mixing bowl and add in the butter and salt.
Crumble the flour well.
Add water little by little until you get a stiff dough.
Fill this into a murukku press that you have.
Heat oil on high and when hot reduce to medium heat.
Start pressing the murukku in the oil and fry till golden brown and the oil bubbles subside.
Drain in paper towel and store in air tight container.
