This spice powder is used while making Bisibelebath rice - Karnataka delicacy.
Ver similar to the Sambhar Rice, this is enhanced with different spices.
You can make this spice powder fresh before the dish or well in advance and store in air tight container.
Ingredients Required:
Channa dhal - 1/4 cup
Coriander Powder - 1/4 cup
Red chilli - 10
Cumin - 2 tsp
Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
Fenugreek - 2 tsp
Cloves - 12
Cinnamon - 2 stick
Whole Pepper - 2 tsp
Cardamon - 4
Hing - big pinch
Curry leaves - 10
Dry dessicated coconut - 1/4 cup
How to make:
Dry roast all the ingredients one by one till a nice aroma rises and set aside on a plate.
Once cooled grind them to a coarse powder and store in air tight container.
