French Toast - Eggless with vegan option

Everybody loves french toast! These are bread dipped in a milk cinnamon mixture and cooked till golden brown. They would be soft on the inside after cooking and usually served with a drizzle of some syrup and fresh fruits though I like them as is.
Traditionally these are made with eggs but for the eggless option we would be using milk and corn flour and for vegan you can use a non diary milk like almond milk or soy milk.

Ingredients Required :
Bread slices - 4
Milk - 1 cup
Cinnamon - 2 tsp
Sugar - 2 tblsp
Butter - 2 tblsp
Corn flour - 2 tbslp

How to make:
In a wide bowl whisk together the milk, cinnamon, sugar and corn flour till well combined without lumps.
Heat a pan on medium heat and once hot add a tblsp of butter.
Dip a slice of bread soaking it for a few seconds on both sides.
Place the soaked bread on the pan and fry for a minute.
Place a tsp of butter on the top side and flip over and cook for another minute.
Both sides should have a nice golden top.
Serve with a drizzle of syrup and fresh fruits if desired.

Vegan Option:
Use almond or any non dairy milk in place of milk.
Use vegan butter or coconut oil in place of butter

Notes:
Stale dry bread works best as it doesn't become soggy.
Any type of bread works for this recipe.
Adding syrup and fruits is optional I like just the way it is.
