Kesar Badam Katli

Katli is a thin burfi and as the name says this one is made with badam and kesar hence the yellowish color. This is the most simplest recipe and can be done in less than 15 minutes. I have made this from store bought almond flour (costco).
Makes 15 Katlis
Ingredients Required:
Almond Flour - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Water - 2 tblsp
Saffron - pinch
Ghee - 2 tsp

How to make:
If the almond flour is coarse grind it to a fine flour. Do not over grind as the Badam will release oil.
In a pan, add the sugar and water. Allow the sugar to melt and bring to a boil.
Add the saffron and it would start releasing color.
Add the almond flour and keep stirring till the dough comes together without sticking to the pan. It took 6 minutes for me.
Add a tsp of ghee and transfer to a rolling surface. You can either use a silicon mat or parchment paper.
Grease another tsp of ghee and allow to cool down.
Knead the dough while warm and then place another sheet on top of it and roll it out into a thickness of 1/4 inch or as you desire.
Slice it in diamond shape.

Notes:
Make sure the surface you transfer the dough to does not stick. Silicon cookie mats are best for this purpose.
You can cut it to any desired shape and size
