Potato Chips

Everyone must love potato chips! This is the first time we tried making chips at home and they were absolutely delicious. This was made by my hubby and son and surprised me with a perfect bowl to munch on!


Ingredients Required:
Potato -  10 , golden or russet
Water for soaking
Salt - to season
Oil for frying

How to make:
Peel the potatoes and slice them thin with a slicer.
Soak the slices in a large bowl of water with salt.
Heat the oil on high and when hot reduce to medium heat.
Drain batches of potato on paper towel to remove the moisture and drop them in the oil.
Make sure they do not lump together.
Fry till they are golden brown, will take a good 8-10 minutes.
Strain and season with salt. Toss and serve.
Store isn airtight container.

Notes:
Thinner the slices more faster and crispier the chips.
Drain and pat dry the chips as much as you can to avoid oil splatters
